Why do I see a 'service temporarily unavailable' message when I'm making a payment online?

*** Please note: we are aware of an issue impacting customers attempting to make the first payment to an online payee. ***

While we work to resolved this issue, you can make the payment online by following these steps:

  • Delete the payee
  • Select "Make payment/transfer"
  • In the “To” section, select "Pay someone new"

If you are seeing this message when trying to make a payment to someone you have paid before, it may be because the payee has changed their account and the details are no longer valid.

If you are sure this is not the case, please contact the helpdesk.
