Can I pay bills from the Mobile app if I only know the name of the company?

Our Mobile app contains the most popular and frequently used utility, Local Authority and credit card companies. You can select 'Payments' and 'Pay someone new' then start to enter the name of the payee.

If we do hold their details you will be able to select the payee and that will pre-populate their account number and sort code in the app. Then add the reference (you may be presented with a hint as to what the reference should look like), choose the amount and select confirm. Once confirmed payments are normally received within 2 hours.

Please note: The payment details will not be saved. You must be aged 16 or over and have available funds to send from your account (including any overdraft facility). Limits apply, although the app will notify you of the limit once you have selected the company you want to pay.
